Management...

If you have a job, you are more than aware of how important management is.  Whether it's managing your time or managing who does what task in order to have a business run smoothly.  But, what about those people who carry the name "Manager"?  What happens when they fail to do their job properly?  Are we, "the little people", supposed to cover for them so that they continue to appear as though they're doing a good job or should we simply do the job we are paid to do?  Personally, I say let them fall square on their derrière!  If they can't do their job, they need to graciously step aside and let someone more capable of handling the responsibilty do it.  I mean, what are they getting paid for?  Certainly not their looks because I've seen many unsightly creatures walking around sporting a badge with the title "manager" on it.  All work on the conveyor belt comes to a halt if one person in the line cannot hold up their duties...it's the same with management.  The only difference is that we, the non-managers, are the ones who look incapable of doing our job.  Little does the outside world know, but it's not always the person standing before you that deserves the chewing up and spitting out!  So, if the day to day work can be accomplished in certain areas of a business without the help of the "helpless manager", is it really a necessity to have such managers even walking around carrying the title?  Feel free to offer your feedback.
